What Is AI Safety?

AI safety focuses on ensuring that the development and deployment of artificial intelligence results in outcomes that are beneficial and aligned with human values. As AI advances, it seems likely to become more and more influential in all of our lives, and it is crucial to address any risks and challenges to ensure a better future for us all.

AI Safety Purdue is a new community of technical and policy researchers at Purdue aimed at reducing the risks of advanced artificial intelligence. Currently, we run an 8-week introductory seminar, as well as a technical reading group.
